Transforming learning through music
Beatsabar Music Project delivers tailored music workshops for young people who can’t access mainstream education due to mental health or behavioural challenges.
Our sessions give learners a safe space to create, express themselves, and build confidence, while meeting the needs of schools and local authorities seeking high-quality alternative provision.
Led by experienced producers and sound engineers, workshops can take place in our professional studios or directly in schools. Sessions run one-to-one or in small groups (up to 8 learners), and follow each young person’s personalised timetable.
Every course begins with an assessment to identify skills and interests, followed by a clear 6–8 week plan. Whether producing a 5-track EP or learning beat-making software, learners develop practical music skills while also achieving valuable educational outcomes.
Our programmes can also be tailored to align with the school curriculum or special themes — such as Black History Month, Christmas projects, end of term or intervention topics — ensuring that music-making supports wider learning goals.
We use a mix of engaging tools — from whiteboard activities and quizzes to audio and video content — ensuring every session is interactive and accessible. Progress is tracked throughout, with weekly or monthly reports provided to schools.
Workshops start at just £60 per hour.
Give young people a music experience they’ll never forget
Looking for something fresh, creative, and fully hands-on for your group? At Beatsabar, we offer unique music workshops where young people step into a real recording studio and bring their ideas to life.
From live instruments and DJing to songwriting and beat-making, our sessions are packed with energy and creativity. Groups can even write a track on a chosen theme, then record it professionally and shoot their own music video.
Workshops are fully interactive — exploring rhythms, drumming circles, and soundscapes — with everything coming together into a final musical piece.
Participants can perform their creation, and we can capture it all on film for them to keep.
Our workshops are perfect for:
Youth groups & clubs
Foster carers & LACs
Teenagers & young adults
SEN learners
All sessions are designed to be inclusive, engaging, and confidence-boosting.
Workshops start from just £8 per person.
During the school term, the Beatsabar Music Project has run several after school clubs in their recording studios and live room for kids in Key Stages 1 and 2 (Ages 7-11) as well as Key Stages 3 and 4 (Ages 11-16).
The weekly sessions at schools run from 4pm - 5.30pm and will offer the children the chance to improve upon their current songwriting skills and musical abilities. Snacks and drinks are provided.
Beatsabar Music Project can also bring a portable recording studio to any school in the Wolverhampton borough, as part of their extended school programme.
